A 5 parameter (5-para) patient monitor tracks ECG, SpO2, NIBP, Respiration Rate, and Temperature. These standard vital signs provide a complete and real-time overview of a patient's core body functions in hospitals and clinics.
Key Specifications
ECG (Electrocardiogram & Heart Rate):
Tracks heart electrical activity, rhythm, and beats per minute (normal adult range usually 60–100 bpm). Uses 3-lead or 5-lead cables.
SpO2 (Pulse Oximetry):
Measures blood oxygen saturation percentage and pulse rate (normal healthy range usually 95%–100%)
NIBP (Non-Invasive Blood Pressure):
Automatically measures systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressure (MAP) via an inflatable arm cuff
RESP (Respiration Rate):
Counts the number of breaths a patient takes per minute via the ECG leads or a dedicated sensor
TEMP (Temperature):
Monitors core body heat using a surface or internal probe (normal baseline usually around 36.1°C–37.2°C / 97°F–99°F)
